The Furry Chillum Cocktail Bar will be a place to immerse yourself in an enticing, warm and exotic atmosphere, while lending your ear to acoustic, brass, swing and ska with a heavy smattering of the bizarre. Story teller Howard Marks (Mr Nice) and Reggae cover masters Prince Fatty can be caught in here. We will not be missing out on those two!

The Ghilli Du Dance Emporium will be a colourful melting pot of everything from Drum ‘n’ Bass, Bassline, Electro, Techno and anything in between – there will be something to suit any dance fan. Expect sets from Bez (Happy Mondays), The Nextmen, Father Funk, The Artful Dodger and The Heatwave.

Rabbie’s Tavern will provide an authentic Scottish bar to drink local brews with live bands playing celtic, roots, rockabilly, blues and more to keep your feet stomping. Rabbies Tavern will also have a traditional Scottish Ceilidh each night and some Karaoke.

Voltans Psychadelic Temple will be melting, merging and dripping, like a lucid lysergic vision. Relax, stretch your head back and watch luminescent 3D projection mappings across the stage with spectrums of colour and light bouncing off aerial installations. This will all be sound tracked by The Mezcal Tribe Soundsystem.

The Vishnu lounge provides a taste of paradise on the fringes of Eden. A place to chill out and swing in the hammocks, lounge in the bath tub and soak up some ambient audio treats whilst sipping a hot cup of chai.

On a sustainable front there will be the Cycle powered Reggae Stage. The Green Space Geo-Domes – Pedal-powered stage and café. There will music and entertainment with a Dub / Reggae theme – with Bands, DJ’s and MC’s from around the country, a small cinema space in the early hours in our cosy cafe serving cake and tea. All powered by the tip-top Chain Reaction Bike Powered Sound System.

There will be the warm and cosy Casa Caliente. A shoes off affair decked out in luxury deep pile, hand tufted carpets. There will be mysterious afternoon workshops and board games available like chess, draughts and of course cards. On Saturday, this area will also be hosting the 1st competition of the Eden Cup; a “Switch” card game competition played under the House rules (practice sessions available). There will also be a Freelance Silly Dance Championship with a trophy and prizes to the winners. In the evenings we will really chill with some acoustic sessions.

The festival is also family friendly. The Shellycoat Kids Tent offers sustainable, environmentally friendly, arts, crafts, performance, forest skills and play, free of charge for all children, in a pleasant and natural setting. It consists of a decorated craft and performance marquee, a little ones yurt, outside space, and a forest skill’s area under the oak tree. Indoor and outdoor activities take place all weekend from 9am to 8pm.

Join in with Circus Shenannigans with Spinning Jenny and her team. Delve into her box of tricks. Learn to juggle, hoola hoop, stilt walk, spin a plate and more…

There is also The Melodrome Theatre, hosting theatrical shows, comedy, impromptu music and all sorts of quirky entertainment. This transforms into the Hum Drum Club by night, look out for special invitations from the Melodrome Women’s Drinking Society to this exclusive invite only boogie parlour.

Finally the Lost Disco will be a flaming outdoor dance parlour playing host to some of the finest DJs and some label showcase parties.

We are sure that you will agree that this sounds like it would be a weird and wonderful weekend! There’s much more on offer than we have mentioned here, which you can find out using their links below.

We did have a competition to win a pair of tickets but this has now been removed as Wednesday 4th June was the final entry date.

Our lucky competition winner was Stella Huntley. She will be getting her tickets shortly and hopefully share some of her photos and experiences of the festival here with us on the Blog.

If you don’t win it’s not all bad news. Tickets are reasonably priced at £95 with free entry for children under 12.
