Recently, we’ve really taken notice of French label, Macadam Mambo. If you haven’t already, we highly recommend you check out their back catalogue here.
There’s a couple of exciting forthcoming releases, which we’ll be reporting on in due course, but before that we thought we should share a release from a few months back from Leeds’ very own Joe’s Bakery Band. MMX202 is the second instalment on the Macadam Mambo Trax series and it’s pretty bloody special.
The title track, ‘Blue Tuesday’ is a sexually charged, cinematic, balearic number. Think Miami Vice on Viagra. You can catch the full track below:
On the flip side, ‘Turkish Delight’ takes us on an altogether more stompy vibe, with an interesting fusion of Italo/Rock/Arabian dance music. It’s pretty heavy stuff. Then label boss, Sacha Mambo aka MZKBX, gives us an acidy rework of the title track.
